The group's roots trace back to 2005, when university friends Ross Marshall and Andrew Harding invested everything they had — including two credit card loans — into an online golf travel business run from a London bedroom. That business, Your Golf Travel, is today the world's largest golf travel company, sending more than 240,000 golfers annually to over 3,500 destinations across 24 countries.

Your Golf Travel Limited reported turnover of £48.7m for the financial year ending March 2025 (Companies House filings), up from £38.1m the prior year — with offices in Farringdon (London), Brighton, St Andrews, Cork, Atlanta and Birmingham, Alabama.

Under the Palatinate Group, the founders replicated the playbook across specialist verticals: Spabreaks.com in wellness, Racingbreaks.com in horse racing, and Out Of Office in luxury LGBTQ+ travel — which acquired TravelGay, the world's most visited LGBT travel website, in 2018. Each brand operates a shared technology framework while preserving a distinct customer proposition.
